Innsworth Shooting Club was formed in 1984 during a meeting at The Old Spot pub near Cheltenham. When it came to choosing a name all the usual "Gloucester" related names were taken. It was decided to call the club Innsworth with a view to influencing the station comander, at R.A.F. Innsworth, so that the club could use the range there. The comander wasn,t so easily swayed and the club instead started its life at the ex army cadet range at Chequers Bridge. 

We remain a well established Target Rifle Club in Gloucester and are especially well set up for anyone who would like to try, and perhaps take up, Target Rifle Shooting.

As well as having Safe, Certified places to shoot you can learn and develop your shooting skills with help from from experienced, qualified club members. We are fully insured, and club firearms for all disciplines are provided.  

The Club’s Probationary Course, approved by the National Rifle Association, gives Beginners the training needed for them to meet the criteria required to apply for their own firearm certificate.  Experienced shooters with their own firearms are also, of course, welcome.

The Club has Home Office Approval and is Affiliated to the National Rifle Association.  It has the facilities to cover all types of Rifle Shooting including .22 Rimfire, Gallery Rifle and Full-Bore. We also cater for all types of air rifle and pistol shooting, both at our indoor range and outdoors at the county range.   Ranges available are .22/Air Indoor (up to twice a week), 50m Outdoor (Up to Gallery Rifle) and 100m Full-Bore (monthly).  We can also shoot at Bisley which has ranges up to 1200 yards.

The Club makes a point in keeping its fees low.  The basic Annual fee is currently only £60 and all family members can be added for only £20. 

Full-bore membership is an extra £10 per member to cover the NRA capitation fee. We do not charge range fees.
